French Language Learning Games
Below is a collection of French language learning games. Some may be a bit childish but, I strongly believe that anything that is in the target language can assist with learning.
Les courses à faire
A fun shopping memory game. Players choose a shopping list written in French and try to fill their trolley by finding the right cards. Includes a pronunciation guide.
Age: 3-7 Players 2-4
Object:
To be the first to fill your shopping trolley with the items on your shopping list.
The game has 32 item cards and is ideal for young children and adults alike to learn shopping items.
Usborne Snap In French
A classic card game but in French suitable for all ages and small enough to be taken anywhere.
Snap in French is an easy, fun, fast-paced game for two or more players. It is a great way for young children to learn simple French words and to develop important matching and reading skills.
French Kloo
It's basically a deck of cards that make simple to complex sentences. In fact it is that simple anyone would be able to make a sentence simply by following the colour code on the cards. They are very compact and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are suitable for complete beginners in French up-to higher levels.
We've turned language into a game!
Welcome to the KLOO language system. Using the very latest Discovery Learning techniques, KLOO can improve your rate of learning by over 200%
In my opinion they are the best learning game I have ever come across.
They also do a board game I have not used it yet but, the reviews are good.
BrainBox Let's Learn French
is a good fun game that can be played by all ages and abilities. It can be a challenge for any level as it also involves memory. It has 71 cards that have lots of words on them.
Learning French has never been moe useful, as languages now play an increased role in the National Curriculum. This BrainBox game will help improve Observation and Memory skills as well as introduce French vocabulary.
Each of the cards shows a scene with words in both French and English. The Reverse of each card has two levels of questions, one for beginners, the other for the more confident. This BrianBox game is great fun and a valuable learning tool. C'est bon!
